Privacy Policy
Comprehensive guidelines on how we collect, process, and protect your personal data.
Effective date: September 2024 • Last updated: April 26, 2026
1. Introduction & Contact Information
QXR Software L.L.C. operates this website and its associated software licensing platform from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. For privacy-related inquiries, concerns, or data requests, contact privacy@qxrsoftware.com.
Data controller: QXR Software L.L.C., Wisconsin, United States. This policy describes the website, account, payment, licensing, analytics, and email handling used by QXR-operated services.
2. Information We Collect
We limit collection to information needed to operate QXR services. This may include account identifiers such as email address and name, license identifiers, purchase and order metadata, support or contact messages you submit, QA tester application details, security logs, IP address, browser user agent, device and timestamp data, and software/license activity required to deliver and protect products.
Newsletter and watchlist forms may collect email address plus selected preferences, such as DAW software, platform preference, product interest, game interest, and optional notes. These preferences are used to send relevant QXR updates and to avoid sending unrelated messages.
Payments are processed by Stripe. QXR does not process or store full payment card numbers on its servers. Email delivery and inbound/outbound mail services use Resend and QXR-operated mail tooling.
3. How We Process Your Data
We process personal data to create and secure accounts, issue and manage licenses, provide downloads, process orders, respond to support/contact requests, operate QA and tester flows, send transactional email, maintain security logs, and understand first-party site usage so we can improve reliability and product planning.
| Processing activity | Primary basis | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts, licenses, downloads, orders | Contractual necessity | Provide purchased or requested QXR services. |
| Security logs and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests | Protect users, QXR systems, payment flows, and mail services. |
| Transactional email | Contractual necessity / legitimate interests | Send receipts, license delivery, account, and security notices. |
| Marketing/newsletter email | Consent | Send optional product and campaign updates. |
| First-party operational analytics | Legitimate interests | Measure site health, page performance, campaign interest, and abuse signals. |
Optional marketing email. With your consent through account settings or mailing-list signup, we may send product news or campaign updates. You can withdraw consent in account settings or use the one-click unsubscribe page linked from marketing email. Account preferences update immediately; manually reviewed list operations may be reconciled by QXR tooling, and we aim to honor marketing opt-outs no later than 10 business days. Transactional messages required to operate your account, licenses, receipts, and security notices may still be sent.
4. Data Retention Guidelines
| Data category | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Account and license records | While the account/license is active, plus a reasonable period for support, fraud prevention, and legal records. |
| Order, payment, and tax records | As required for accounting, tax, chargeback, and legal obligations. |
| Support/contact/mail records | As needed for customer service, legal, security, and operational history. |
| Security logs | As needed to investigate abuse, protect accounts, and maintain audit history. |
| Newsletter preferences | Until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to suppression records needed to honor opt-outs. |
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent for applicable personal data. Submit requests to privacy@qxrsoftware.com. We aim to respond within 30 days unless a shorter or longer period is required or permitted by law.
6. Cookies, Similar Technologies & Analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to operate the site and your account, including sign-in sessions, cart behavior, fraud prevention, and security protections. We also use first-party operational analytics to understand page visits, navigation, performance, and campaign interest on QXR properties.
QXR does not sell usage statistics, does not sell personal information, and does not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies. We do not build advertising profiles for sale to unrelated companies.
A privacy notice is shown until accepted. Acceptance stores a first-party browser preference so the notice does not repeat on every page. If your browser clears that storage, the notice may appear again.
7. Children's Privacy
Our website, digital storefront, and software services are intended for a general, adult audience. They are not intentionally directed toward children under the applicable age of consent. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from minors.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in operations, technology, vendors, or legal requirements. Material revisions will be posted on this page with an updated date.
