QXR Software
Founder
The person behind the software.
Background
Andrew Hodge is the founder and sole developer of QXR Software L.L.C. As founder, he is responsible for engineering, product design, testing, and support across the studio's full catalog audio plugins, games, and the underlying licensing and web infrastructure.
QXR Software was built from a clear set of convictions about how software should be made: with long-term quality as the priority, documentation as a first-class deliverable, and a development culture that does not compromise craft for speed.
Approach
Every product at QXR is designed by someone who uses it in a real workflow. Audio plugins are built by a musician. Games are designed by a gamer. Tools are built to solve problems the developer actually encountered. Research in areas that QXR actually are enveloped within. That grounding in real use is the primary quality control mechanism at QXR.
Being independent means decisions stay close to the work. There are no layers of management between a user's feedback and a product change. This is not a workaround it is the intended operating model.
Technical focus
The Axion Lattice Suite is built on JUCE with AxionLXâ„¢ technology, targeting VST3 at 64-bit internal precision. The licensing, web, and distribution stack is entirely custom-built and self-hosted. Game development runs across multiple titles with distinct production pipelines.
